Every month, OnlinEnglish.Netoffers you a free new iBT speaking challenge to keep your skills sharp!
The speaking task for January, 2008 is based on question 4 from the iBT speaking test: the integrated reading/ listening/ speaking question based on academic content.
Remember for this kind of task you need to read a short academic passage for 45 seconds, listen to a 1-2 minute lecture related to the content in the reading, then talk (for up to 60 seconds maximum) about how the listening input adds to or contrasts in some way with the content of the reading passage.
To take part, you will need a microphone. All responses will be posted on this page in an ongoing fashion along with a score based on the iBT integrated speaking rubric. Please note all entries are fully anonymous, with no personal or contact details listed anywhere whatsoever.
The challenge closes on January 27.
